Tour Colima’s Royal Road, History, Traditions and Gastronomy

Learn about the history, traditions and gastronomy of Colima, while we tour a part of what used to be the Royal road. We will visit: The Monument to the King of Coliman, The Nuñez square, The Cathedral, The Liberty Square, and Salter’s Cooperative where we will know the process to obtain the Flower of the salt, which is a kind of sea salt, very similar in its properties to the pink salt from the Himalayas. You will learn about the most typical drinks (Tuba, and Bate) and about some traditional dishes (Tatemado, Sopitos, Enchiladas dulces, etc.) of Colima, you will have the choice to taste a few of them. - The most typical of those drinks is the “tuba”, (That is the sap of coconut palm) a very delicious drink inherited to Colima by the Filipinos. El Bate, it is drink made out of Chia or Chan seeds, water and piloncillo (Small conical pieces of unrefined brown sugar) honey. One of the most typical meals of Colima is El Tatemado, a delicious dish prepared with pork and spices. You will have the chance to taste it.

Tour duration: 4 hours
⋆ Cost: $ 499.00 pesos / person with groups from 2 to 8 people. Family friendly. Children from 4- 10 years pay 50%. If you are alone, ask for the cost for a single person.
It includes: Transportation A/C vehicle, certified tour guide, hydration, and a beverage that could be (Tuba, or Bate), and breakfast if it is at 9:00 am schedule, or dinner if it is at 4:00 pm schedule.
Availability: From Monday to Friday. Schedules: 9:00 am and 4:00 pm.
